what can I say but wow! what a summer we have had, our little shop has been all over the country doing stalls at events. We have met so many amazing folk along the way, and formed some firm friendships with our new trader family.
We started off our season at Swordpunk weekend in Newnham Paddox. Swordpunk is a weekend based around the training in sword fighting, axe throwing, archery, and various combat skills as well as an impressive fire show on the Saturday night. We we so grateful to have a space in the Emporium to display our wares. Anyway, the weekend itself is amazing and you should definitely check it out
After having lots of fun at Swordpunk we had a big new challenge ahead of us, to fill a marquee of stock for our epic adventure to Fantasy Forest. This is something we have been wishing for, to take our stall to a proper festival and we have had our eye on Fantasy Forest for the last few years and to get accepted was a massive honour for us as there were only 10 available slots this year for new traders.
The weekend was more than anything I could imagine! the atmosphere was incredible and to be surrounded by so many like minded people who are so passionate about everything fantasy was like walking into one of my books or video games. Even though i didn't get chance to see much of the actual festival, because we were so busy on the stall, the bits I did get to see were amazing and everyone who came to visit the shop and the crew were amazing and so welcoming. I do believe that this was one of the highlights of the year for Another World Apparel, and we are pleased to announce that we have been accepted to trade again and return next year!!
Not much down time after returning from Fantasy Forest as our next adventure was taking us to Sherwood Forest, the home of the legend outlaw Robin Hood. The festival was based around just that and was held on every weekend over the month of August, but as we only applied for the first two as they theme fit around what we sell (Mainly Fantasy)
The Festival was an amazing new experience, it was so lovey to be camping out right in the heart of Sherwood Forest, it definitely felt like you were living back in the days of Robin Hood
I really hope we are invited back again next year as it was a truly fantastic weekend
To finish off the Summer Events we headed back to Newnham Paddox for Swordpunk which was a great way to end the seasons festivals.
Looking forward to getting back out there next year, but until then it is time to work on restocking the shop and working over the winter months
